notebook
clippings & notes on process, walk-through practice

here, in notebook, i will share the process behind the showcased projects, in order to focus on the means of making a garment, conceptually and through technique. this will be a personal overview of my work and intentions regarding structure and the development of garments—using various media and approaching them as multi-layered objects that contain more than the fashion language but the environment that surrounds us and our understanding of what we wear.
by calling it a study, it conceals my research and exploration of design through formalism and its aspects such as form and texture, function and even uselessness. the process consists of various media that i always approach, document, and archive, which are the use of drawing, photography, collage and video, and exploration of juxtapositions of materials and craft techniques.
the material is the language, the starting point, and the spontaneous source of inspiration, besides other influences drawn from conceptualism, ready-made, deadpan photography, and multidisciplinary takes on the everyday. recontextualizing these impromptu findings is the core of my work, while searching for an extension of what we see daily, in a disengaged manner.
therefore, this page will show pages of sketchbook, drafts, work on paper and stages of the process, everything i do in order to develop a final garment or object.
